Okay so no one reached out with ideas after my last post, which is a bit disappointing but I made something anyway! I decided to go with a DIY terrarium. I’ve made one before but I wanted a small one for my desk at work. In total, I spent less than $15 but I did have a few of the things I needed at home. A lot of it is really optional though so you could spend a lot less.
Materials needed:
Soil/dirt/sand
Rocks
Fake (or real) plants
Some sort of glass jar or bowl
Dried moss
I also got tiny mice and mushrooms 🙂
So first you just need to fill up your jar with some dirt. I find about halfway is good because it’s enough to hold the plants but isn’t over powering.
Next, you lay out your plants and rocks how you want them. This is the part where it gets creative so I didn’t want to do a step buy step for it.
After you have everything where you want it and you make sure your plants are anchored in, you can sprinkle some moss and add any accents.
That’s it! Pretty simple, only took me about 10 minutes to be happy with the result. If you have any more ideas, let me know!
So adorable! I especially like the tiny surprises with the mushrooms and mouse! I can see this in many places throughout the home! This would be a wonderful gift too! Thank you for sharing your creativity! Well done! Koko:)
