This month I’m bringing you another easy DIY that takes no more than an hour and cost me well under $10. We’re making coasters! I made cork coasters a few months ago, but I got bored with them and wanted to make something a little more me. They didn’t come out perfect, but I think I’ll get better with Mod Podge as time goes on.
- Cut glass
- Cork the same size and shape as your glass
- Small felt circles
- Mod Podge
- Decorative paper
To start, cut your paper to be the same size and shape as your cork/glass. I used a pencil to trace my glass.
Next, you’ll want to adhere your paper to the cork. Mine started to come up at the corners really badly, so I just kept using more Mod Podge and holding it while it dried a bit.
Once the paper is dry, apply more adhesive to the top layer and gently lay the glass panel on top. You will want to try very hard to get rid of air bubbles, because I learned a little to late that it will dry with the same air bubble and they are very visible.
Last, stick your felt bottoms to the bottom of the coaster and let dry!
Happy crafting! 😀
